Administrators 

Dr. Dutton has worked in education since 2007. Before joining Park Hill, he was a teacher, speech and debate director and an administrative intern at Staley High School. He has also taught for Smithville School District and Manhattan-Ogden USD 383. While in Smithville, Dr. Dutton coached football and debate, and in Manhattan he coached football, having experience leading activities and athletics programs. He earned the 2020 Missouri Veterans of Foreign Wars District 3 Teacher of the Year Award and the National Speech and Debate Association's Two Diamond Coach Award.

Dr. Dutton received his bachelor's from Kansas State University, his master's from Emporia State University and his doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Kristian Foster is a native to the Kansas City area and is entering her 21st year in education.  The 2022-2023 school year is Dr. Foster's 12th year in secondary administration. She brings a variety of experience to Park Hill South including working in both college preparatory and alternative schools, teaching Social Studies courses at the high school and college levels, and working for the IB organization as an examiner. Dr. Foster has two children. She very much looks forward to working with students and staff at PHS!

Jacob Kelow has accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Park Hill South High School for the 2024-2025 school year, pending approval of the Board of Education at its meeting this week.

Mr. Kelow comes to Park Hill from Kansas City Public Schools where he serves as Athletic Director and School Counselor at Central High School. In his role as a school counselor, he was the ACT Coordinator, head of the counseling department and master scheduler. He was actively involved in student support teams like MTSS and prioritized data-driven approaches to assessing student progress.

Mr. Kelow received his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University. He received a second master’s degree from Baker University.

Mrs. McKenna is an assistant principal at Park Hill South High School. Prior to coming to Park Hill South,  Mrs. McKenna was an assistant principal and athletic and activities director at Lakeview Middle School. Ms. McKenna was a teacher at Park Hill High School, where she was also the ELA department head, Student Council sponsor, volleyball coach, and athletic coordinator. Ms. McKenna's classroom experience includes teaching English Language Arts, AVID, Emerging Leaders, and ACT Prep. Beyond the classroom, Ms. McKenna has taken on many leadership roles in education and sat on several committees, with particular interest in leadership and student connections to school. 

Ms. McKenna received her educational specialist degree from William Woods University, and her master's and bachelor's degrees from UMKC. She is currently pursuing her doctorate from William Woods University.

Robert Milner is the previous Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Walden Middle School.  He comes to us with 13 years of educational experience and 8 years of administration experience. He has previously served as the Principal and Executive Director at Hope Leadership Academy and before Hope Leadership Academy, he was an assistant principal at
Lee A. Tolbert Community Academy.
