Jason Haniger was born and raised in Santa Clara, CA until the age of 18. He attended Archbishop Mitty High School where he played basketball, football, and baseball. Jason attended Georgia Tech from 2005-2009 on a baseball scholarship as a catcher. He was drafted in the 19th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates, but declined and graduated with a B.S. degree in Management with a double concentration in Finance and Marketing. Upon graduation, he worked for a software company in Atlanta called Vendormate Inc. Currently, he is finishing his Masters of Education with secondary certification in Business Education at Rockhurst University. Jason recently married former PHS standout, Erin Birmingham. They spent there honeymoon in Aruba and now live in downtown Kansas City. In addition to his course work at Rockhurst University, Jason also serves as the baseball team's graduate assistant coach. This past August, Jason led a group of 19 players and coaches to the Dominican Republic on a baseball mission trip in Santo Domingo.
