2012-2013 ACT Test Prep
Getting into a college or university is becoming more competitive each year and students have to do all they can to stand out. Most colleges look at GPA (45%), the ACT (45%), and activities (10%) to determine admittance and scholarships. As little as two additional points could mean the difference in getting a scholarship or being admitted into a top school. The ACT test is more important than many things you do over four years of high school. Take advantage of every opportunity to excel by investing in your education and preparing ahead of time and raising your scores by enrolling in an ACT Skills Workshop offered by Park Hill Community Education. The workshops consist of 4 weeks (12 hours) of intensive review of ACT problem-solving concepts and test-taking strategies. Students receive practice tests and handouts in English, Math and Science. Registration for the classes does not register you for the actual April 13, 2013 ACT Test. Obtain an ACT Test registration packet from your high school counselor.

The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony for new initiates will be on Thursday, March 7th at 7 pm in the auditorium. A cake and punch reception will follow.
