Attention all Juniors!! How would you like scholarship money for college?

Park Hill South will once again be participating in the 2nd Annual Park Hill School District Scholarship Initiative Program! We have partnered with several area colleges and universities who have agreed to offer various merit based and need based scholarships to members of the PHS Class of 2019.

Over the summer, PHS will send your academic records (transcript, ACT scores, GPA, class rank, gender, ethnicity, etc.) to these partner institutions. These colleges and universities will evaluate your individual information and will consider you for various scholarship opportunities based on each school’s specific merit based and need based criteria.

This coming fall, we will have a scholarship showcase where participating students will discover all of the scholarships they are being offered from these partner schools. There is a chance that you could be offered scholarships from more than one school. Students will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from these colleges and universities and learn more about their exciting programs and opportunities -as well as the next steps in the application/admission process.

Last Fall…..

·147 PHS seniors participated from the Class of 2018!
·Every senior was offered at least ONE scholarship!
·$41 million was offered to the entire group!
·14 area colleges and universities participated!

** To participate **All you need to do is give PHS permission to share your information.Parent/guardian permission slips were distributed to all juniors in Tutorial this week. Please return this form to counseling by May 25, 2018.

More information and permission slips can be found: https://counselorsphs.weebly.com/scholarship- initiative.html
